Read-a-thon 2019: Congratulations to everyone for a great read-a-thon! As a school, we read over 48,000 minutes!! We had many students who read OVER 1000 minutes: Melissa Tkacyzk, Paul Kath, Sophie Bunkowske, Will Hyatt, Charlie Scruggs, Caroline Kath, Betsy Gower, Christina Bell, Margot Moessner, and Blakely Smith. Donations are still coming in, so a grand total will be announced next week. Congratulations to our top fundraising classes: Miss Schiemann’s class (1st Place), Ms. Robertson’s class (2nd Place) and Ms. Dunn’s class (3rd place). Congratulations to our top readers in each group, Blakely Smith (PreK-1st), Caroline Kath (2nd-4th), and Margot Moessner (5th-6th).
Box Tops for Education: Thank you to all of the students that have been turning in Box Tops! Please remember the top three classes will be awarded uniform passes. The contest concludes on February 26!
Read Across America Day is Friday, March 1. This national education day is in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday and schools across the country will be celebrating reading. Students may wear comfy clothes (pajamas are permitted!) and bring their pillow, blanket, and stuffed animal. They should also bring one or two favorite books to read throughout the school day.
Spirit Store: Your Covenant Spirit Store will be open during Chapel this Friday in case you need some items for the colder weather. Additionally, if you need a specific Covenant item for your child, you can always email the Spirit Store, and we can make arrangements to get it to you.
