The 5th and 6th-grade students are starting their experiments this week for the Science Research Project and Science Fair Display. This project is designed to allow each student to independently explore an interest-based topic using the traditional steps of the scientific method. The project consists of two parts: the actual experiment and the presentation. The experiment will be designed and conducted to collect quantitative data that tests a hypothesis devised by the student. As a final step in the process, the student will report his/her findings through a presentation to include visual materials during the Science Fair Display. The Science Fair Display will be held on March 4 and 5 in the Ignite hallway. I hope that you will take this opportunity to attend the Science Fair Display and see all of our imaginative student presentations at the Science Fair!
