We Need You!
Our field day teams are gearing up to compete and we need YOU to give our kids a fun, organized, memorable day. We cannot do this event without parent support across all grades of our school and how amazing to finish the year by coming together. We have been dialing in our beloved Covenant Field Day over the past five years and feel confident that you will be supported as you volunteer for us. In whatever role you decide to fill (administrative, logical, athletic, creative, etc.) we have a place for you! Each job will get a detailed email the week of field day further explaining your role and how to approach the job you’ve signed up for. We cannot wait to share this day with you all!
Mills Uniform Plaid Update: Mills Uniform has received the new red plaid skirts/skorts in our original color and will be having a sale starting June 8th. In an effort to swing back to the original Covenant red plaid, Mills is offering a $10 gift card (via the school office) for every brighter red plaid garment turned in at the school. If your child will still be using her brighter plaid garment in the Fall, that’s fine, but please be aware that the bright plaids won’t be accepted or sold at the summer consignment sale and will not be offered in the future at Mills. Once your child outgrows her brighter plaid, please retire it to the school office and we’ll dispense a $10 Mills gift card for use at their store. You may use these in the store during their June sale and as many as you like can be used together. You may also turn in your skirts at the July consignment sale for a gift card. Please contact the office with any questions and thank you for your cooperation!
TCS Teachers Lead Sessions at Local Collaborative: The Collaborative, hosted at CPA from June 10—13, features expert-led discussions and workshops on growing in teaching, learning, and leadership excellence. Four TCS staff members will present at this conference: Laura Tapscott, Matthew Sullivan, Merritt Goodman, and Katherine Koonce. Many other TCS staff members will be participating in various sessions for professional development. Parents are welcome to attend sessions as well. Please go online to see more about these sessions and plan to attend.
Handwriting Boot Camp: What better way to get ready for school than with a handwriting camp? SPROUT’s Handwriting Bootcamp combines occupational therapy and multi-sensory activities to help your child improve his or her handwriting. Sessions are offered for PreK—4th grade. Students will be placed into small groups with a maximum of 5 per group. Camp Fee: $250 (includes supplies). Camp sessions will be led by Tracey Levy, OTD, OTR/L. Email Tracey to register.
