Service Learning
Service learning at Covenant School involves our students in meaningful community service, giving students awareness and opportunity to be "hands to serve" and "hearts to love." Each grade level participates in a community service activity as well as school-wide events.
Grade Level Projects
Kindergarten: Operation Christmas Child-sending shoe-box gifts to children around the world
First Grade: Collected soccer equipment for children in Peru
Second Grade: Graceworks Ministry-sorting food and supplies
Third Grade: Covenant Church- house and yard work for
elderly church members
Fourth Grade: Covenant Church- house and yard work for elderly church members
Fifth Grade: Operation Christmas Child-sending shoe box gifts to children around the world
Sixth Grade: The Cumberland Assisted Living Home-Christmas party
School Wide Projects
- Books for Change: Spare change is collected during the school wide Book Fair and used to purchase new library books for an underserved school in the community
