Servant Leadership

Covenant__MG_7882.jpgCovenant School fifth and sixth graders have the unique opportunity to become servant leaders as they set the example for the younger students. Being the oldest of the school community benefits their development and maturity as servant leaders. Students learn teamwork, problem solving and communication skills as they work together to give back to their community.

Upper school servant leaders in action:

  • Assist with student arrival in the morning, escorting younger students into the building
  • Support lunchroom staff by serving hot lunches and cleaning the cafeteria dining area after the last lunch period
  • Help in the library with processing books and with younger students visiting the library
  • Volunteer as Reading Buddies with Pre-K and Kindergarten students
