School Choir

The Covenant School Choir is open to students in Grades 2-6. Rehearsals will be Tuesday afternoons from 3:00-4:00 p.m. beginning September 13th in Music Room 225. There will be a Fall Session (Sept/Oct/Nov) and a Spring Session (Mar/Apr/May). A $20 fee will be charged for each session to cover the cost of music. Contact Mrs. Magyar for more information.

Music Study: Instrumental Performance and Music Theory
Individualized instrumental instruction is available on Tuesdays or Thursdays with TCS approved instructors in the following areas of study: piano, strings, and guitar. For registration, fees, and instructor guidelines, please contact Mrs. Magyar.

Music Fun! Class
This class is for 2-4 year old children and a parent. It is designed to explore music, movement, and literature through a variety of activities that promotes school readiness. Classes will meet on Wednesday mornings September 14 - November 16 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. To register, please contact Mrs. Magyar.

TCS Dance!
Students in Grades 1-3 who would like to participate in TCS Dance will meet with Becky Sullivan every Monday afternoon from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in Music Room 225. There will be a Fall Session (September 12 - December 12) and a Spring Session (January 9 - April 30). Contact Mrs. Magyar for more information.

Drama "Knights"
Led by Desha Wiseman, students in Grades 1-3 who are interested in drama will meet on Tuesday afternoons (January 10 - February 28) from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in Music Room 225. Contact Mrs. Magyar for more information.

"Knight" Writers

Led by Jacquelyn Harris and Hillary Rector, the "Knight" Writers is open to students in Grades 2-6. Writers will meet on Monday afternoons from 3:00-4:00 p.m. from January 9 - March 12 in Mrs. Harris' Room 225. Contact Mrs. Harris or Mrs. Rector with any questions.

 

Chess Club

Led by the Director of the Nashville Chess Center, Chess Master Todd D. Andrews, the Chess Club offers fun filled and educational experiences where Covenant School students in Grades 2-6 can learn their first moves or become more accomplished players. Todd's positive, encouraging attitude fosters friendships and teamwork. Chess Club will meet every Thursday from 3:00-4:00 p.m. beginning September 15th in the Science Lab. Contact Pastor Sullivan to register your child.

Cheer Club
The Cheer Club at TCS is open to boys and girls in grades 2-6. Participating students will practice with Mrs. Hunter on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 7:15-7:40 a.m. in the school's gym. The Cheer Club will cheer on the Covenant Knights at the boys' and girls' basketball games and encourage school spirit at school pep rallies. For more information email Mrs. Hunter.

Cross Country
Cross Country running is offered in the fall to students in grades K-6. Runners practice after school and participate in cross-country meets with other elementary schools. The season runs September-October.

 

 

 

 

 

Basketball

Fifth and Sixth grade boys and girls may participate in basketball. The season starts in November and runs through February. Practice is held in the Covenant School gym after school. Go Knights!
