Matching Gifts
Your employer may have a matching gift program for contributions to The Covenant School. Contact your Human Resources department to see if your contribution to Covenant qualifies for a matching gift. To initiate a corporate gift, the donor must obtain a matching gift form from their employer, complete it, and send to Covenant with their own gift. The Covenant School will certify receipt of the gift and submit the form to the donor's employer.
Gifts of Securities
Donors may choose to use appreciated stock to make a gift. A gift of appreciated stock allows donors to avoid the tax burden of capital gains and gives them a tax deduction for the fully appreciated amount. For information about the stock process, please contact Katie Welsh, Director of Development at (615) 467-2313 or click here to email.
Gifts in Kind
Gifts of goods and services can be donated to The Covenant School and are tax deductible as provided by law. For more information about gifts in kind, please contact Katie Welsh, Director of Development at (615) 467-2313 or click here to email.
Honorary Gifts
Donors may make gifts in honor of a person who has played a special role in their lives or the lives of their children. The honoree will be notified by the school that a gift has been received in his or her name and will be given the name and address of the donor.
Memorial Gifts
Memorial gifts may be made to honor the memory of a deceased individual associated with The Covenant School community. These gifts perpetuate their individual's known interest in Covenant and are acknowledged accordingly.
Planned Gifts
Planned gifts take many forms. The simplest one, a bequest, designates The Covenant School as a beneficiary in your will. You may specify a particular amount or percentage of your estate be given to Covenant. If you have included Covenant School in your estate plans, please contact Katie Welsh, Director of Development at (615) 467-2313 or click here to email.
Endowment
An essential component of a strong academic institution is a strong endowment. The Covenant School desires to establish an Endowment Fund to provide a safety net for its' future. It is a permanent fund, invested over time to produce income, enabling the school to operate with a sense of confidence when planning for the future. An initial gift of $5000 is required to establish an endowment fund. If you are interested in helping the school establish an endowment fund, please contact Katie Welsh, Director of Development at (615) 467-2313 or click here to email.
