Covenant__MG_8489_1.jpgOur library at The Covenant School provides a variety of resources for the school community to enjoy. Classes are scheduled to visit the library once a week to check out books for pleasure or for research purposes. While in the library students learn library and information seeking skills in order to be effective users of a library and its many resources. Students also participate in story time, fun activities, and D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) to encourage a love of reading.

Teachers, staff, and students are encouraged to use the library and its resources whenever they have a need arise, not just at their scheduled time. The Covenant School library is ever-growing and we are blessed to have so many materials to share.

The Birthday Book program is a tradition that our families and our library have grown to love over the past few years. This tradition is an opportunity to honor a child's love for reading by purchasing a favorite book to donate to the school library on the child's birthday. The student presents the book at Friday morning chapel where everyone can see and hear about the new library addition. A bookplate with the child's name and birthday is placed in the book prior to circulation.
