Pre-Kindergarten at the Covenant School serves students four and five years of age. We offer a three-day program (W-Th-F) and a five-day program, both from 8:00-2:45 pm. Children applying for Pre-K must be four years old prior to September 1.

The curriculum promotes interactive learning through the use of child-initiated centers. Word play, early writing, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and alphabet knowledge are developed through the use of music, movement, center-based activities, small group instruction and both large group and one-on-one conversations.

Pre-Kindergartners are introduced to a wide genre of noted children's literature and authors. They also explore essential emergent math skills through hands on activities.

Each day begins with Chapel where the children become eager volunteers as they lead songs for worship and pray for others.

Students attend enrichment classes for Art, Bible, Music, Physical Education, Library and Spanish.

Pre-Kindergarten is under the supervision of The Covenant School and the accreditation of the Tennessee Department of Education.
