Philosophy of Education

Covenant__MG_7843.jpgThe philosophy of education at The Covenant School is a Biblical concept based in the scripture from Ecclesiastes 4:12b "...A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."We believe it is a jointly shared responsibility for the home, church and school to train succeeding generations to be strong ambassadors of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Home is the primary source for children for encouragement, expectations, instruction, training, protection, provision, correction and discipline. Second to home is the church, where congregational support, pastoral leadership, instruction, training and correction in the Word of God are shared. School is the third cord where faculty enable students to discover and embrace a Biblical view of the world and integrate that view into every area of life.

The Covenant School is committed to providing an academically excellent education based on a Biblical worldview; involving a love of God, respect for His majesty, recognition of His authority and the eternal relevance of the Scriptures. We believe Biblical faith and academic excellence are compatible and we are intentional in our integration of faith and learning.

Every area of learning, including a broad scope of enrichment courses, is guided by Biblical truth and undergirded with an awareness of God's covenantal ethics. Covenant students grow to understand they are called to glorify God with minds to learn, hands to serve and hearts to love.
