Teacher/Counselor Biographies
Susan Berthiaume, Covenant School PE Director, is energy personified. Her students love her because she has a never ending supply of fun, team building games, They don't know she carefully selects each game because it is developmentally just right or that she can explain, with encyclopedic detail, all the reasons why!
Ms. Berthiaume is a favorite at Fun Fridays where The Covenant School celebrates birthdays and lost teeth! It's fascinating to see students gather on the stage and give Ms. Berthiaume a "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" to describe the location of the tooth they lost during the week. Hearing the kids tell their stories of how they lost their tooth is priceless! Little do they know they are learning prized public speaking skills and developing confidence while they share their story in front of the entire student body.
Susan sports a masters degree from Grace Theological Seminary and says she "loves that she gets to come to school each day, teach PE and watch kids grow in the knowledge of how fearfully and wonderfully they are made." Susan loves spending time with her two teenage daughters and enjoys hiking, camping, water sports and cycling.
Susan will lead Games Galore and More from July 19-23.
Tiffany Dupree Lives Art and Loves Children! Tiffany has been working at The Covenant School and leading art camps for the past six years. She is fascinated by the way children interpret art and loves to teach them and watch them learn. By the way, she loves to have tons of fun!
Children delight in Mrs. Dupree's camps and take pride in their fun and often usable art creations. Tiffany's camps usually have a waiting list, so sign up soon! Tiffany will be leading Art & Spanish Camp in June, The Art of Food in July and Under the Big Top: Pre-School Art and Prep Camp in August, with Jessica Buntain, the Covenant School Spanish teacher.
The Covenant School, Covenant Camps and all Covenant Camp administrators, teacher counselors and staff are committed to giving each Covenant camper a happy, safe, rewarding and fun experience at Covenant Camps. Happy summertime planning!
