The Covenant School is a ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church, created to assist Christian parents and the church by providing an exceptional academic education founded upon and informed by the Word of God. Our greatest desire is that our students will know God. We equip our students to have a Biblical worldview, to embrace their calling in this world as image-bearers of God, to impact culture and society for Christ, and to realize their potential for the greater purpose of glorifying and enjoying God forever.
The Covenant School was founded in August 2001 as a ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church. It was created to be a school that taught from a Reformed Christian worldview. That is to say, teachers would teach students in ways that relate God’s Word to every aspect of life.
Since its first year, The Covenant School has grown in size and continues to offer more academic and after school opportunities each year.
The first 6th grade class to graduate from Covenant was in 2007. Since then, our graduates are continually accepted into the finest Nashville schools each year.
God has abundantly blessed The Covenant School with Board of Trustee members, administrators and teachers who clearly understand their calling to train covenant children for kingdom service while adhering to the highest academic standards. Covenant truly is where 21st-century learning meets timeless Truth.
As a ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church, The Covenant School adheres to solid Biblical theology. Our doctrinal basis is the Bible, which is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, and subordinate to it, the Westminister Confession of Faith, which is the faithful summary of Reformed Biblical theology.
“Reformed” defines the doctrinal beliefs of the Presbyterian Church in America, which holds that the purist expressions of scriptural doctrine are found in the Calvinistic creeds, particularly the Westminister Confession of Faith.
